Stages of Blepharoplasty
Blepharoplasty surgery is performed by these two methods; surgical and non-surgical. If the eyelid problem is small, the doctor will tighten the eyelid by performing a non-surgical method; using techniques such as Filler injection, surgical strings or by laser. However, if the eyelid problem is big and clear; the doctor will perform the surgical method. Which passes through the following stages;
Blepharoplasty is performed under general anesthesia.
If the surgical method is applied, the doctor will make a very small incision within the natural folds of the eyelid.
The doctor separates the skin from the fat lyers, then he removes the excess skin and fat from the eyelid area.
The incision is closed by using cosmetic stitches, or by a skin adhesive, which will be removed a week later.
